I’ve neglected writing anything about Don Diablo for a while now because I wasn’t exactly sure whether to accept him as the next big thing that everyone is embracing him to be. In fact, I wasn’t even that fond of most of his work that I’ve been playing around with for the past few months. That is, until he started releasing new material at a very very alarming rate (Think the damn Bloody Beetroots in 2008) and I slowly realized that his tracks were starting to get very. Fucking. Good. Nowadays, he’s releasing a new remix nearly every week and unselfishly sharing with his Hypem groupies (Yes. Sadly including me), earning a lot of listeners and lovers in the process.
He finally won me over with his latest re-work of De La Soul’s famous old school hip hop track, Me, Myself, and I. (Trust me, you know this one even if all you listen to is Vampire Weekend and MGMT) It’s a bit spastic and claustrophobic at times, but overall, it’s a pretty nice addition to any DJ’s set.
BLAH BLAH BLAH (insert intelligent gibberish because I need to study for midterms.)
