After a long listen through Herve’s new “Ghetto Bass” mixtape that surfs through all sorts of electronic music (electro, house, dubstep, etc.), I’ve decided that Herve is a really respectable producer. Let’s take a look at what this man does.
1. Multiple aliases. He’s got six. Yup, you heard me. Maybe he’s trying to be the electronic version of Doom? He’s probably most notably known as Herve and The Count. But from what I’ve heard, everything he’s done is pretty magical.
2. Owns his own label, Cheap Thrills, which, in addition to himself, supports Fake Blood.
3. His beats are sick. Similar sounds? Like The Bloody Beetroots or Mustard Pimp.
These three points alone make Herve or Joshua Harvey a pretty damn good musician. I have high respects to anyone who can juggle all of that, despite being supremely successful or not. Just having your own record label is a feat in itself. Props to you man.
