One of my most anticipated films this year, Where The Wild Things Are, spawns some of the happiest music I’ve ever heard. Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs devoted some time to creating an entire soundtrack for the film, under the name of Karen O and the Kids. It sounds very similar to Arcade Fire in regards to the instrumentals. The happiness primarily stems from the undeniably cute voices of the children that sing along, in conjunction with the free-spirited instrumentals. Drops September 29th.
