Have a lot of goodies in store for everyone, but had to give this song a drop first after seeing that Seed 2.0 has been making a comeback on Hypem over the past few days. Don Diablo doesn’t so much “remix” Seed 2.0 as he does give it a simple edit, adding some percussion, synth, and violin into the mix. This updated track ultimately cuts out all of Black Thought’s lyrics and instead focuses on the vocals of Cody Chesnutt..which isn’t so bad because his lines are soooo smooth. And dirty.
Not Don Diablo’s best work, but he manages to pay proper homage to one of the all time great Hip-Hop acts of our generation. God I love The Roots. Definitely worth a listen or three.
